"I have returned"

My earlier responses now seem so immature and lacking in substance. They submit themselves for consideration with such stridency as to be only counter productive. Fortunately the low quality of their presentation offsets the rather bracing nature of my commentary, giving more weight to the ideas themselves. Now, while I continue to hold many of the same political beliefs and policy positions, I am much more open to thorough critical analysis, and its capacity to disprove or demonstrate flaws in my understanding. Confirmation bias is much more visible to me today, than it was before; I realize that my understanding is inherently limited and that I can never completely understand an issue, even should devote my life to it. The universe - and the humanverse - overwhelms the capacity of human intellectuality to study and quantify it. From this I draw a handful of simple rules:
1. Always retain an open mind, although it may hurt at times.
2. There are always ignored factors-and exceptions, small as they may be.
3. Categorical classification of people and problems is impossible.
4. If your beliefs and understandings stay constant, you are ignorant or divine.
